Clemson University & Carolina Ceramics Design Winner

Carolina Ceramics and the Clemson University Graduate School of Architecture sponsored the 1st Annual Materials+Assemblies Design Competition.  The competition encompassed an exhibit or work produced by the Graduate School of Architecture at Clemson University.  The Materials+Assemblies seminar course structured the framework for this exploration in building detail and construction culture.  This unique installation/exhibit highlights both a design competition with the emphasis on ceramics and brick as will as a semester in building details, field sketches, photos and assembly drawings from teh School of Architecture FLUID CAMPUS Centers located in Genoa, Italy; Barcelona, Spain; Charleston, SC, and Clemson.  As the winner of the competition Wendy Bertani, from the Clemson Architectural Center in Barcelona, Spain, will receive a teaching assistantship for the fall of 2011 for ARCH 872 Materials+Assemblies.  Congratulations to all the participants.
