Building a new Walgreens in the historic Five Points section of Columbia proved to be a big challenge for architectural firm Sherer & Associates.  The building needed to be compatible with other structures around it, but it also needed to be unique. That’s why the owner and architect selected Carolina Ceramics brick for the project.

Carolina Ceramics’ Madrid and Sierra brick with Crimson Red and Whitestone mortar gives this Walgreens a classic, yet striking appearance. Architect Dan Sherer says, “Carolina Ceramics offers an excellent line of products which allows us to be creative while keeping our projects on budget.”

Sherer has been doing business with Carolina Ceramics Brick Company for over 10 years and has used its brick in eight recent projects. “We have always received good service from Carolina Ceramics, from the design process through construction,” he says. Service was especially important on the Five Points project because material deliveries, use of heavy equipment and any work performed in the public right of way had to be carefully coordinated.

For quality, selection, price and service, you can count on Carolina Ceramics.
